I am enjoying the glut of Sydney Kingies at the moment.

They appear to be everywhere! Also some horse Bonnieís.

Went to NZ and snared some monsters on the jig and some some smaller ones on fly. Very tricky

They were 100 m deep!

That's an arm stretcher of a king Mark. See you out on the harbour.
I'm fishing today.

I was out for the first time in a long time on the harbour over the weekend.

Since moving into surf sports, I no longer have room for the boat. So took the yak out on the harbour.

Landed rat kings and bonnies before meeting mr big. Not once, but twice i got spooled. I was only fishing 2-4kg spin gear, but could not stop these trucks.
1st hookup bent the hook
2nd hookup was unstoppable.Huge run, down deep. Just would not stop. 150m of braid gone. Snapped at the spool.
3rd hookup. Super big run again, had maybe 20m left of mono, before it decided to do some laps of a mooring rope. Game over.

I'll definitiely be finding some more time to get out.

I wondered where you were throughout the years.
Good to see you are back. The fishing over the years is
getting better & better? On the way back from skiing in Hokkaido.
Iíll get out on the weekend.
