Hi Guys - hope you don't mind me re-hashing this post........what's the general consensus on pedastal base vs clamp.

I like the idea of a pedastal base ( particurlarly the versatility aspect ) - but never having used one, i'm a little concerned about the stability ( currently looking at a Dyna King Barracuda to replace the piece of rubbish i currently own ).

Your thoughts / opinions would be grealt appreciated.

thx

George.

Pedastals are the best for travelling on the tie. I like my clamp vice as i can easily attatch a catch bag to the stand and adjust the head hieght. As for stability most pedastals have a very heavy base so toppling shouldn't be a problem unless one is heavy handed.

Still yet to hear from Stuart on his choice if he has bought one yet.

Hey Pete, is it an original Renzetti ? I notice a few copies on eBay.
