Is there a 'conditioner' that fixes a tank of old fuel (4 stroke) or is it better to drain and start over?

Drain the tank and then put in the high octane stuff (9
Have you tried starting the motor with a fresh water flusher to see if it will start? Maybe you only need to top up with 98. Stuart <'))))>< | |||

Ta Stuart - drained most of the old and that lot seems to run the lawn mower okay. I'll put some 98 in the boat this week and see what happens.

Check your owner's manual William to make sure the motor will be happy with 98 ..... 95 may be its limit.
If your tank was only partially full with the old fuel it may be helpful that you add a cup of metho when you fill it up with new ..... it'll help with any condensation that may have collected in the tank ..... and also check that your fuel filter is clean before and after using the boat. I think nothing terrible will happen if it is without unnecessary impurities!
